The 2019 NILAS has the theme, Mass Literacy and Scientific Development through Nigerian Languages. This issue is very captivating because papers were written in some indigenous languages. This has captured the raison d’ȇtre of NINLAN. In addition, this year, 2019 has been declared as the international year of indigenous languages. The contributions made in this issue are in accord with the declaration.
The papers equally discussed different areas of Nigerian Languages: syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, documentation, terminology, teaching and learning etc. We look forward to having more articles written on non-major Nigerian languages in our next issue.
